THE CHAEUM Hyaluronic Acid Filler — PECHE Clinic, Gangnam Station
A particle-type hyaluronic acid filler for broad body areas — filling the shoulder line and hip dips in 10 cc units · Made in Korea by Hugel · Right by Gangnam Station Exit 4
THE CHAEUM Filler
THE CHAEUM is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler made by the Korean manufacturer Hugel. At PECHE Clinic, THE CHAEUM is used for body areas only — filling broad areas in 10 cc units: the shoulder line, and hip dips (the spots beside the pelvis that look sunken in).
Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already has, holding water in the tissue; when its strands are bonded to each other (cross-linking), it resists breaking down and stays in place longer. THE CHAEUM takes that cross-linked hyaluronic acid and breaks it into firm particles mixed through a gel — each particle acts like a small support, which gives it strong lift for propping up sunken areas. Volume appears right at injection, and it can be dissolved and corrected with the hyaluronic acid–dissolving enzyme.

When to Consider It
- Your shoulder line looks thin or angular, so the line falls flat even in shoulder-baring clothes
- The sides of your pelvis dip inward (hip dips), breaking the body line in the middle
- Even with exercise, those particular spots don't seem to change
If the sunken look comes not from missing volume but from the surrounding fat or muscle, a reducing approach may fit better than a filling one. We check which it is by looking directly during your consultation, and decide together.
Why Particle-Type for Broad Areas
Where facial filler goes in delicate 1 cc units, the body has far more surface to fill — so it goes in 10 cc units. With that much product across a broad area, what matters is the strength to hold its shape where it's placed.
THE CHAEUM's particle-type process has each firm particle propping up the tissue like a support, so even across broad areas it spreads less and holds the filled shape — that's its strength. Areas that need a softly spreading texture call for a different kind; it's a difference of use, not a ranking.

How It's Done
1. Line check and design A body line is judged as it looks standing up. We look at the shoulder or hip-dip area directly — checking the depth of the dip and the left–right balance by sight and touch — and set the fill range together.
2. Treatment plan We go over the area (shoulder or hip dips), the amount, and the changes to expect — including the limits — before starting.
3. Numbing cream Applied and left for 20–30 minutes.
4. Injection The product is placed at the planned depth for each area, divided across it, with the amount adjusted as we check the left–right balance.
5. Finish The injection sites are tidied and the session ends.
Results and Recovery
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Ingredient and action | Cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) — particle-type process; the particles act as supports |
| Configuration | Body (shoulder or hip dips) · in 10 cc units |
| When results show | Volume is visible right at injection — the shape settles as the swelling goes down |
| Can it be corrected? | Yes — dissolvable and adjustable with the hyaluronic acid–dissolving enzyme (hyaluronidase) |
| Pain | One sting as the needle first enters; after that, it's more a heavy sense of pressure and fullness than pain as the product moves in under the skin |
| Pain control | The product contains an anesthetic ingredient · numbing cream is applied before treatment |
| Downtime | Swelling and bruising can occur at the injection sites — how much and how long varies by area and person, so we walk you through it on the day |
| Spacing from other treatments | Heat-based treatments on the injected area need a gap — radiofrequency at least a month later · ultrasound 1–2 months · laser 1–2 weeks |
Volume appears immediately, but the look right after includes swelling. The shape once the swelling has gone down is closer to the real result. How long it lasts varies with how much the area moves and with the person, so we go over it in your consultation based on your condition.
Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects
Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response to injection:
- Swelling and bruising can occur at the injection sites — how much and how long varies by area and person, and we walk you through what to expect on the day of treatment
Anything beyond this is uncommon. If a reaction lasts longer than expected or worsens, contact us and we'll check it with you.
What We Check Beforehand
If any of these apply to you, let us know during your consultation. We postpone or adjust the timing.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Inflammation or wounds in the treatment area — we proceed after it clears
- Aspirin or blood thinners (anticoagulants) — bruising can be heavier, so tell us in advance and we'll plan for it
- Filler remaining from a previous treatment — we check how much remains and plan around it
- A heat-based treatment planned for the injected area — radiofrequency at least a month later, ultrasound 1–2 months later. The injected filler needs to settle into the tissue before heat goes in.
How PECHE Clinic Does It
We treat by standards built on 90,000+ documented treatments. With filler, the depth and the amount decide the result. Injection standards built from over 90,000 treatments are shared by PECHE physicians, so the same standards apply whoever treats you.
We check you standing up, and decide from what we see. A body line looks different lying down and standing up. Before treatment, we check the depth of the dip and the left–right balance with you standing — by sight and touch — then set the fill range. We match the plan to what we've confirmed, not to guesswork.
We open the genuine product in front of you. With injectables, authenticity is the baseline of safety. The filler used in your treatment is opened in front of you, so you can confirm which product is being prepared and in what amount. You can also watch preparation and hygiene management through the glass wall from the waiting area.

We recommend only the amount you need. Overfilling makes the result less natural, not more. We check the depth of the dip and recommend only what the area needs. No same-day payment pressure, no package push — you're welcome to come in just for a consultation.
Pricing
The cost of THE CHAEUM body filler depends on the area (shoulder, hip dips) and the amount used. We confirm the fill range in your consultation and quote from there.

FAQ
Q1. Who performs the treatment? A: PECHE physicians who all work to the same injection standards, built from over 90,000 documented treatments. Filler results turn on judgments of depth, amount, and left–right balance — made from your confirmed condition and these standards, not by feel.
Q2. It's a Korean filler — is the quality different from non-Korean brands? A: The hyaluronic acid raw material and its basic properties have reached a similar level in both Korean and non-Korean fillers. The price difference reflects patented cross-linking technologies and decades of accumulated clinical history more than quality. For filling a broad area with a generous amount, it's a sensible choice.
Q3. Can it be reversed if I don't like the result? A: Yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved and adjusted with the dissolving enzyme (hyaluronidase). Having a way back if the shape or amount isn't right is one of HA filler's advantages.
Q4. Can I have facial filler with THE CHAEUM too? A: At PECHE Clinic, THE CHAEUM is used for body areas only — shoulders, hip dips, and similar areas. The face is treated with other filler brands matched to each area's nature, and we'll walk you through which product fits in your consultation.
Q5. Can I just come in for a consultation first? A: Yes. You're welcome to come in just for an assessment and consultation and leave without deciding. Decide after you've heard the expected changes, the limits, and the amount you'd need — we won't push extra areas or same-day payment.
