Shurink Universe

Shurink Universe is a lifting treatment that focuses ultrasound energy (HIFU) on single points inside the skin, creating small points of heat in the SMAS — the layer of connective tissue that supports the face — and in the dermis, the elasticity layer above it. The work is divided between two tips: Ultra F for broad surfaces and Ultra Booster for narrow, curved areas. The surface is left unbroken, so you can return to your day right after treatment.

It is used when jawline and double-chin sagging is just starting, and when you want narrow, curved spots — the eye area, the area above the lips — covered as well.

Cross-section of Shurink Universe's Ultra F tip depths — heat points forming in the dermis at 1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 mm, and in the SMAS at 4.5 mm

▲ Each tip depth places heat in a different layer — 4.5 mm reaches the SMAS, the others the dermis

When to Consider It

  • Your jawline is blurring and a double chin is starting to form
  • Sagging in the cheeks and around the folds beside the mouth is making your face look heavy
  • You want narrow, curved spots — the eye area, above the lips — treated for firmness too
  • You're hoping texture and pores tighten along with the lift
  • You want a lifting treatment with no recovery period

If dryness, fine lines, or lost volume is the main concern rather than sagging, a skin booster that fills the dermis may be the right fit instead. And if you've had several rounds of treatments but the hold kept disappointing you, an ultrasound approach that treats down to the SMAS all at once can be the next option. We decide together, based on your assessment results.

How It's Done

1. 3D skin analysis A 3D MetaVu scan shows your facial contours and left–right height differences on screen, along with your texture and fine lines. This becomes the basis for the shot count and how it's divided across areas.

2. Treatment plan Looking at the scan together, we go over the shot count, the split between Ultra F and Ultra Booster, and the changes to expect — including the limits.

3. Numbing cream Applied and left to absorb for 30–40 minutes.

4. Treatment Ultra F covers broad surfaces — the jawline, the cheeks — stamp by stamp. When curved areas such as the eye area or above the lips are part of the plan, Ultra Booster fills them in with small, circular rubbing passes.

5. Soothing care The session ends with a soothing pack.

Results and Recovery

Item Details
Working layers SMAS at 4.5 mm + dermis at 3.0, 2.0, and 1.5 mm — four Ultra F tip depths
Tip roles Ultra F = stamps across broad surfaces · Ultra Booster = overlapping, rubbing passes on curved areas
Treatment areas Jawline · double chin · cheeks · above the folds beside the mouth · eye area · above the lips and other curved spots
Shot count 300–400 shots standard for the full face · 400–600 if you also want a visible change in texture and pores
When results show Contraction right away (with some swelling) → jawline and firmness changes from around week 4 → strongest at 1.5–2 months · new collagen settles in over 2–3 months (individual results vary)
How long it lasts 3–6 months on average (varies with age and skin thickness)
Repeat cycle Build-up = 3 sessions at 4-week intervals → maintenance at 3–6 month intervals
Pain A brief, sharp sting each time a heat point forms · a dull, pressing warmth when it reaches the SMAS · more noticeable near bone — the jaw and cheekbones
Pain control Numbing cream (30–40 minutes) as standard · Air Nox (inhaled calming while you remain conscious) can be added when pain is a heavy concern
Downtime Redness clears the same day · swelling for 3–7 days · a tender, muscle-ache feeling when pressed, for 1–2 weeks (up to 3) · washing and makeup are fine the same day

The immediate tightening includes some swelling. Jawline changes start to show from around week 4 and are clearest between one and a half and two months (individual results vary).

Because the hold averages 3–6 months, the first 3 sessions are stacked at 4-week intervals, then spaced out to every 3–6 months as your skin allows — adding the next session before the new collagen declines.

Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects

Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response:

  • Redness that clears the same day
  • Swelling for 3–7 days
  • A tender, muscle-ache feeling when pressing on treated areas, for 1–2 weeks (up to 3 weeks in some people)

Anything beyond this is uncommon. If a reaction lasts longer than expected or worsens, contact us and we'll check it with you.

What We Check Beforehand

If any of these apply to you, let us know during your consultation. We postpone or adjust the timing.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Metal implants in the face
  • Filler, fat grafting, or thread lifting within the past 1–2 months (the heat can affect the volume or the threads, so we space the treatments)
  • Very little facial fat with thin skin (cheeks could look hollow — we adjust the distribution by area)

How PECHE Clinic Does It

We treat by standards built on 90,000+ documented treatments. With Shurink Universe, the same shot count gives different results depending on where it goes and at which depths. Area-and-depth distribution standards built from over 90,000 treatments mean every PECHE physician works to the same criteria — whoever treats you.

We divide the shots based on your measurements. Dividing the shots matters more than adding them. After confirming your contours and left–right balance in the 3D scan, we pass lightly at shallow depths over areas at risk of looking hollow, and focus more of the treatment on the sagging jawline and double chin.

Pre-treatment 3D MetaVu analysis — measuring facial contours, left–right balance, and skin condition

▲ We look at the measurements together

Curved areas are filled with Ultra Booster. Covering only the broad surfaces leaves narrow, curved spots — the eye area, above the lips, beside the nose — easily left uncovered. We divide the work between Ultra F and Ultra Booster by area and concern, and the Booster's rubbing passes overlap into the fine gaps of those curves.

▲ Both tips focus heat on a single point — what differs is the area they cover and how they're used

Genuine tips only — and our prep room is behind glass. In HIFU treatment, the tip accounts for much of the result and the safety. We use only genuine tips approved by Korea's MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety), and the actual shot count is displayed on the device screen. You can watch preparation and hygiene management through the glass wall from the waiting area.

FAQ

Q1. Who performs the treatment? A: PECHE physicians who all work to the same area-and-depth distribution standards, built from over 90,000 documented treatments. With Shurink Universe, results turn on where the shots go and at which depths, so the distribution is set by your assessment results and these standards — not by feel. The same standards apply across physicians and sessions.

Q2. I'm worried my cheeks will hollow. A: It's true that concentrating shots in one area can reduce the fat there and leave the cheeks looking hollow. That's exactly why we divide shots rather than add them. We confirm your contours and balance in the scan first, pass lightly over — or skip — areas at risk of looking hollow, and concentrate on the sagging jawline and double chin. Tell us during your consultation if your cheeks are on the thin side or if specific areas worry you.

Q3. How is the shot count decided? A: 300–400 shots is the standard for full-face lifting; 400–600 if you also want texture and pore tightening. More shots don't scale the result proportionally, so we confirm the degree and location of sagging during your assessment and decide together.

Q4. How do I know the tips are genuine? A: We use only genuine MFDS-approved tips. The prep room is open to view through the glass wall from the waiting area, and the actual shot count is displayed on the device screen.

Q5. Can I just come in for a consultation first? A: Yes. You're welcome to come in just for the assessment and consultation, then leave. Decide after you've heard your measurements, the changes to expect, and what this treatment won't solve. We won't push extra shots or ask for same-day payment.
