Wrinkle Botox
Wrinkle Botox is a treatment that places small, divided doses of botulinum toxin into the muscles that fold your skin when you make expressions, easing the pulling force of those muscles. It's done on the areas that move most — the forehead, the glabella (between the brows), the eye corners — and PECHE Clinic runs it in two configurations by the number of areas: 1 area and 3 areas.
![]()
▲ A vertical cross-section of the skin — from the top: the epidermis, the pink dermis, and yellow subcutaneous fat, with the red layer at the bottom being the expression muscle. White fibers rising from the muscle pull the skin inward, folding a wrinkle groove into the center of the surface
Beneath the skin lie the thin muscles that make your expressions, connected to the skin by fine fiber bundles. Every time a muscle contracts, the same spot folds — and after decades of repetition, the line stays even when the expression relaxes. Botulinum toxin reduces the release of the signal the nerve sends to the muscle, lowering the folding force itself.
When to Consider It
- A deep vertical line forms between your brows when you frown
- Several horizontal lines appear when you raise your forehead
- Fine lines fan out at your eye corners when you smile
- Lines fold across the bridge of your nose when you scrunch it
- A pebbled texture appears on your chin when you tense it
- Drooping brows are making your expression look heavy
If the groove stays even when your face is fully relaxed, reducing the folding force alone won't smooth it. That spot may call for filling the lost volume instead — and some spots are a mix of both. We decide which, together, based on your assessment results.
Where the Product Stays
Wrinkle Botox is placed not in the skin but in the muscle layer beneath it. The needle tip has to reach the muscle for the folding force to ease; any shallower and the expression stays as it was. Spread further than needed, and neighboring muscles lose force too, making expressions awkward. So the result of this treatment turns on what depth, how many points, and how much at each — more than on the drug itself.

How It's Done
1. Assessment A 3D MetaVu scan captures your lines and left–right balance.
2. Expression check You frown and raise your brows while we watch directly — which muscle pulls, and in which direction.
3. Areas and dose Together we set the areas, the amount each one needs, and the product to use.
4. Numbing A cold roller dulls the sensation before we start.
5. Injection A very fine needle places small, divided doses into the muscle layer. It feels like light, shallow mosquito-bite pricks.
6. Aftercare guidance We go over what to follow for the rest of the day.
Results and Recovery
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Where it acts | The muscles that make expressions — below the dermis and fat layer |
| Amount per area | Around 10–15 units for the glabella and eye corners, 10–20 for the forehead — a unit is the measure of the drug's amount · varies with how developed the muscle is |
| When results show | Movement starts easing from days 3–7 and is clearest at week 2 — the signal doesn't cut off at once; it tapers over several days |
| How long it lasts | 3–6 months |
| Repeat cycle | 3–4 months |
| Pain | Light, shallow mosquito-bite pricks — the needle stays at each point only briefly |
| Pain control | A cold roller dulls the sensation before we start |
| Downtime | The raised marks at the injection points settle within 1–2 hours; you can wash your face and wear makeup after 2–3 hours · bruises, if any, fade within 3–7 days |
| For the day | Don't lie down for 4–6 hours · skip saunas, hard exercise, and massaging the treated area — all to keep the product from spreading beyond where it was placed |
As the effect fades, the reduced movement returns and the look you had before re-emerges. Stopping doesn't leave the lines deeper than before you started.
Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects
Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response to injection:
- Raised marks at the injection points, settling within 1–2 hours
- Bruises, if any, fading within 3–7 days
Anything beyond this is uncommon. If a reaction lasts longer than expected or worsens, contact us and we'll check it with you.
What We Check Beforehand
If any of these apply to you, let us know during your consultation. We postpone or adjust the timing.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Conditions affecting the point where nerves meet muscles, such as myasthenia gravis — the very site where botulinum toxin acts, so symptoms could worsen
- Medications that affect nerve–muscle signaling (including some antibiotics)
- Inflammation or wounds at the injection site
- A past hypersensitivity reaction to botulinum toxin
- Aspirin or blood thinners (anticoagulants) — bruising can be heavier, so tell us in advance and we'll plan for it
- Botulinum toxin received elsewhere recently — tell us when, with which product, and how much, and we'll recalculate the total amount given in one session and the interval to your next treatment
How PECHE Clinic Does It
We place it by standards built on 90,000+ documented treatments. The same glabella doesn't get the same dose in someone who frowns hard and someone who doesn't. How much goes to each point is set not by feel but by standards built from over 90,000 treatments and the values confirmed in your assessment.
We offer four botulinum toxin products. Botulinum toxin is a substance produced by bacteria. The bacteria send it out wrapped in other proteins to keep it intact — but only the core inside produces the effect; the wrapping plays no part in it. The core is identical across all four products; what differs is that some products keep the wrapping, and some strip it away to leave only the core.
| Product | Made by | Protein wrapping | Albumin (storage aid) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Newlux | Medytox, Korea | Kept | Used |
| Coretox | Medytox, Korea | Stripped away | Not used |
| Xeomin | Merz, Germany | Stripped away | Used |
| Allergan Botox | AbbVie, USA | Kept | Used |
What keeping or stripping the wrapping means. The wrapping protects the core — but it also means foreign proteins unrelated to the effect enter your body along with it. Repeated over the years, your body can come to recognize and respond to those proteins — and then the same dose may not work as well as it once did. Stripped products leave less room for that. For a one-off treatment the difference is negligible; it matters when you plan to continue over several years.
Albumin is a common protein naturally present in human blood. It keeps the core from degrading while the drug is stored as a dried powder — and Coretox does without it too. Wrinkle Botox is a small-dose treatment, with roughly 10–20 units per area, so rather than the amount, we look first at how narrowly it stays put. At the glabella and eye corners, a few millimeters of sideways spread changes the result.
We open the genuine product in front of you — and you can watch it being dissolved through the glass wall, too. Botulinum toxin doesn't keep long once dissolved, so it's stored as a powder and dissolved in saline just before treatment. The more diluted it is, the larger its volume — and the wider it spreads. With the small amounts Wrinkle Botox uses per area, even at the same number of units, how diluted the mix is determines how far it spreads. You see which product is opened right in front of you, and the dissolving itself is visible through the glass wall from the waiting area.

We recommend it only where it's needed. This isn't a treatment where reducing more movement is better. To avoid over-relaxing the forehead and leaving the brows heavy and low, we start with the minimum dose and top up after checking the result at 2 weeks. You're welcome to come in just for a consultation.

FAQ
Q1. Who performs the treatment? A: PECHE physicians who all work to the same injection standards, built from over 90,000 documented treatments. Wrinkle Botox results turn on the depth, the number of points, and the dose at each — so these are set by the standards, whoever treats you.
Q2. Will my expressions turn awkward? A: The dose goes only into the muscle making that line — divided across several points, not across your whole face — so the rest of your expression stays as it is. Awkwardness mostly comes from too much landing at one point and draining force from the neighboring muscle. We recommend starting small, checking at 2 weeks, and topping up.
Q3. How is the drug prepared? A: Botulinum toxin comes as a powder and is dissolved in saline just before treatment. You see which product is opened right in front of you, and the dissolving is open to view through the glass wall from the waiting area — you can see for yourself what is being prepared, and at what concentration, before you start.
Q4. Do I have to keep getting it? A: It fades gradually over 3–6 months and your original movement returns. If you stop, you simply return to how you were — it doesn't get worse than before. But as long as the muscle keeps folding the skin, the line deepens again — so if you want to maintain the result, you continue at 3–4 month intervals.
Q5. What should I look for when choosing a clinic? A: The same drug gives different results depending on the depth and how many points it's divided into — so look for whether they hold area-by-area standards and explain them. Whether they tell you the product and dose beforehand, and whether you can see the opening and preparation, also helps.
