ONDA Lifting focuses microwaves (Coolwaves, 2.45 GHz) into the subcutaneous fat layer, reducing the volume that fat creates — a double chin, or the deep fullness in the lower cheeks beside the mouth — to refine the profile. The device is made by DEKA of Italy. A cooling tip keeps the surface chilled throughout, so the energy passes through the outer skin without heating it and only releases its heat once it reaches the deep fat layer. It is not a treatment that pulls loose skin tight — it reduces the heavy volume itself, which makes it suited to fullness under the chin and along the jaw that comes mainly from fat.

How It's Done
1. 3D skin analysis We check your facial contours and left–right balance; whether the fullness along the jaw and cheeks is fat or sagging is judged together during the examination. That distinction changes the treatment itself.
2. Treatment plan For the face, the total energy is set within 20–80 kJ (kJ is the unit for the amount of energy delivered). 20–40 kJ for light work on the jawline or jowls, or for maintenance; 60–80 kJ as the standard for the full face including a double chin. The change you can expect differs by energy, so the goal and the plan are set together at this stage.
3. Cleansed, bare skin — no numbing cream We proceed with contact cooling only. Microwaves respond to water and release their heat there. The skin surface is protected by the cooling tip, but if a water-rich cream sits between the tip and the skin, the energy is spent right there — it can't travel deep, and the risk of a surface burn rises. Instead, drinking plenty of water before and after treatment helps the energy reach the fat layer.
4. Treatment The cooling tip glides over the skin in full contact, delivering the planned energy area by area.

This is not a one-session treatment, and what you can expect differs by energy. The results and duration above are based on full-face treatment (60–80 kJ) completed as 3 sessions at 3–4 week intervals. A 20–40 kJ focused session is for maintenance, and shouldn't be expected to match that change. Fat cells need time to shrink and be cleared — that's why 3 sessions is the standard — and because fat cells that have been cleared don't easily come back, the result tends to hold as long as you don't gain a significant amount of weight (individual results vary).
Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects
Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response:

- Little to no bruising, swelling, or scabbing — you can wash your face and wear makeup the same day

- Little facial fat, with front or side cheeks already hollow — the fat-reducing action is strong, so those areas are excluded from the treatment range

ONDA usually goes first: reduce the heavy fat volume, then pull the SMAS with ultrasound. We decide together whether to combine, based on the sagging confirmed during your assessment.
Q3. I've had filler or a hyaluronic "glow" injection — can I still have this? A: We space them at least 2–4 weeks apart. Microwaves respond to water, so right after a water-based injectable, the injected material can be lost or overheated. If you're planning both, we recommend taking ONDA first.
