Volnewmer — PECHE Clinic, Gangnam Station
Water-cooled radiofrequency tightening that fills the dermis with heat while coolant inside the tip keeps the surface chilled · Right by Gangnam Station Exit 4
Volnewmer
Volnewmer is a skin-tightening treatment that passes radiofrequency current through the body (monopolar RF), heating the dermis — the skin's elasticity layer — through both its shallow and deep parts. Its cooling is water-based: unlike systems that spray a burst of cooling gas at each shot, coolant circulates inside the tip continuously, holding the surface temperature down for the whole session while the dermis warms gradually. There are no incisions or injections, and no wounds are left on the surface.
It is used when the skin is thinning, fine lines and pores are increasing, and slight sagging along the cheeks and jawline has started to bother you as well.

▲ Coolant keeps circulating inside the tip — the surface stays cold while the dermis warms
When to Consider It
- The cheeks and jawline have started to sag slightly and lose firmness
- Fine lines and pores are increasing and your skin texture has turned rough
- The heat during each pass has felt like too much for you — water cooling keeps chilling the surface, so the heat rises gradually
- A rhythm of building up results every 6 months fits your schedule
- You want a firming treatment with no recovery period
If sagging has reached the SMAS — the deeper layer that supports the face — a dermis treatment alone may not be enough, and if there's physically a lot of fat under the chin, a fat-reducing treatment may come first. We decide which, together, based on your assessment results.
How It's Done
1. 3D skin analysis A 3D MetaVu scan shows your facial contours, left–right balance, and the state of your fine lines and pores. This becomes the basis for the shot count and its distribution.
2. Treatment plan Looking at the scan together, we go over the shot count, the coverage, and the changes to expect — including the limits.
3. Numbing cream Applied and left to absorb for 30–40 minutes.
4. Treatment The facial V Tip (4.0 cm²) stays in full contact with the skin and keeps moving as it fires. The coolant inside the tip holds the surface temperature down. Tell us if any spot feels unusually hot or stinging, and we adjust the energy and the speed.
5. Soothing care The session ends with soothing care.
Results and Recovery
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Working layers | The full dermis, shallow (papillary) to deep (reticular) · the surface is protected by the coolant inside the tip |
| Tips used | Facial V Tip 4.0 cm², mainly |
| Shot count | 400 = focused areas such as the jawline and jowls · 600 = full-face standard · 900+ = full face plus double chin and neck |
| When results show | A light tightening right away → new collagen peaks at 2–3 months (individual results vary) |
| How long it lasts | Around a year, declining gradually (varies with skin and age) |
| Repeat cycle | 400–600 shots = around every 6 months · 900+ shots = around every year |
| Pain | A steady, pressing warmth, like a hot pack kneading deep into the skin · brief throbbing possible near bone — the jawline, cheekbones, and forehead · the heat can feel stronger late in the session as it accumulates |
| Pain control | Numbing cream (30–40 minutes) is enough for most · Air Nox (inhaled calming while you remain conscious) is added only in limited cases — when heat is a heavy burden, or heat build-up is hard to tolerate at 900+ shots |
| Downtime | No scabs or bleeding · temporary redness and slight puffiness |

▲ Texture concerns live in the shallow layer, sagging in the deep layer — Volnewmer works on both
The tightening right afterward is only part of the change. The main change builds over 2–3 months as new collagen forms.
The basic rhythm of this treatment is 400–600 shots once every 6 months. Results hold better when built up this way than when taken all at once.
Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects
Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response:
- Temporary redness and slight puffiness — no scabs or bleeding, as the surface is left unbroken
Anything beyond this is uncommon. If a reaction lasts longer than expected or worsens, contact us and we'll check it with you.
What We Check Beforehand
If any of these apply to you, let us know during your consultation. We may postpone treatment or adjust the timing.
- Electronic implants in the body (such as a pacemaker) — the current passes through the body, so we do not proceed
- Pregnancy — we do not proceed
- Inflamed (pustular) acne or acute facial flushing — heat can aggravate inflammation, so we proceed once it has been treated
- Metal implants in the face, dental implants, braces, or gold-thread lifting — we check the current's path together
- Recent treatments — we proceed only after: filler, one month · skin boosters, 2–3 weeks · ultrasound or laser lifting, one month · thread lifting, two months
- A lot of fat under the chin — a fat-reducing treatment may come before tightening, so we sort this out during your assessment
- Tanning, acne medication (isotretinoin), or blood thinners — tell us in advance and we adjust the energy and the timing
How PECHE Clinic Does It
We treat by standards built on 90,000+ documented treatments. With Volnewmer, results come down to where the shots go and which energy level they're set to. Area-by-area standards built from over 90,000 treatments mean every PECHE physician works to the same criteria — whoever treats you.
We distribute from measurements. The 3D scan shows your contours, balance, and the state of your fine lines and pores; we look at the screen together and decide where the shots should go. Distribution by measurement, not by feel.

▲ We look at the measurements together
On thin skin, we lower the energy and keep moving. Where the skin is thin or bone sits close to the surface, we lower the energy by half a step to a full step — to the level your skin accepts, not the most you can endure — and keep the tip moving so heat doesn't pool in one spot.
Same-day combinations follow a fixed order. When a skin booster is planned for the same day, Volnewmer comes first and the booster after. The hyaluronic acid in boosters (the ingredient that holds water in the skin) is heat-sensitive and would be lost the other way round — and skin right after injections holds moisture unevenly, which can draw the radiofrequency to one spot.
Genuine tips only — and our prep room is behind glass. We use only genuine tips approved by Korea's MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety), and you can watch preparation and hygiene management through the glass wall from the waiting area.

We only recommend what you need. We tell you first what this treatment does (dermal elasticity, texture, tightening of mild sagging) and what it doesn't (deep sagging, a large amount of fat). No same-day payment pressure, no package push — you're welcome to come in just for a consultation.
Pricing
The cost of Volnewmer depends on the shot count (400, 600, 900) and the coverage. We set the shot count after your assessment and quote from there.

FAQ
Q1. Who performs the treatment? A: PECHE physicians who all work to the same area-by-area shot-distribution standards, built from over 90,000 documented treatments. Volnewmer results turn on shot distribution and energy level, so they're set by your assessment results and these standards — not by feel. The same standards apply across physicians and sessions.
Q2. The heat doesn't feel strong during treatment — how does it still work? A: The strength of the pain doesn't equal the strength of the treatment. Volnewmer's circulating coolant holds the surface temperature down, and that is what lets the needed energy enter the dermis within what the surface can tolerate. We're not reducing the energy to spare you pain — we're cooling the surface so the needed energy can go in.
Q3. My skin is thin and heat-sensitive — can I still have this? A: We don't rule it out, but adjustment is the key. On thin areas we lower the energy by half a step to a full step and keep the tip moving. Tell us in advance if you're heat-sensitive and we'll adjust the intensity and shot count by area — and during the session, point out any spot that feels unusually hot and we adjust right away.
Q4. How do I know the tips are genuine? A: We use only genuine MFDS-approved tips. The prep room is open to view through the glass wall from the waiting area.
Q5. Can I just come in for a consultation first? A: Yes. You're welcome to come in just for the assessment and consultation, then leave. Decide after you've heard your measurements, the changes to expect, and what this treatment won't solve. We won't push extra shots or ask for same-day payment.
