InMode — PECHE Clinic, Gangnam Station
Bipolar radiofrequency pairing MiniFX, which reduces fat, with Forma, which rebuilds firmness — taken back to back on the same day · Right by Gangnam Station Exit 4
InMode
InMode passes current only between the two electrodes on its tip (bipolar radiofrequency), which lets one device do two jobs in turn. MiniFX mode draws the flesh in by suction and delivers heat plus a momentary pulse of current into the fat layer, shrinking the volume of the fat cells; Forma mode delivers heat into the dermis to build collagen. The two modes are usually taken back to back on the same day, and at PECHE Clinic, InMode is run face-only — for the double chin, the deep lower cheeks, and the jawline.

▲ MiniFX draws the flesh in, lifting the fat layer between the electrodes to treat it
When to Consider It
- The area under your chin feels heavy, and the flesh there is soft and easy to pinch
- A double chin or deep lower-cheek fullness is blurring your profile
- You're worried loose skin will remain where the fat is reduced (fat and firmness are treated on the same day)
- You want firmness and texture along the cheeks and jawline refined as well
MiniFX works by suction — it needs soft, pinchable flesh to grip properly. If the flesh is firm, or the fat layer itself is thick, a different fat treatment may fit better. We check this by hand during your consultation and decide together.

How It's Done
1. 3D skin analysis A 3D MetaVu scan shows your facial contours and left–right balance; how much flesh can be pinched is checked by hand during the consultation. This becomes the basis for the areas and the intensity.
2. Treatment plan Looking at the scan together, we go over the areas, the intensity, the changes to expect and their limits — and how long the bruising will last — all upfront.
3. Cleansed, bare, fully dried skin As a rule, we start on bare skin with no numbing cream, dried of all moisture. Moisture or oil left on the skin makes the suction tip slip and causes the radiofrequency to react to the moisture — and the ability to feel heat is itself a safety signal. If that feels like too much, we can apply cream and proceed.
4. MiniFX — the fat layer The double chin, deep lower cheeks, and jawline are drawn in and treated area by area. A sensor in the tip reads the surface temperature 1,000 times a second, holding it under the device's set ceiling (43℃). Keeping the surface below that line is what lets the fat layer beneath be heated safely.
5. Forma — the dermis The tip moves in rubbing passes, delivering heat into the dermis, and the session ends with soothing care. No numbing cream means no separate waiting time.
Results and Recovery
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Mode configuration | MiniFX = the fat layer (suction, radiofrequency heat, then a momentary pulse) · Forma = dermal collagen (rubbing passes of heat) |
| Treatment areas | Face only — double chin · deep lower cheeks · jawline · sagging cheek flesh |
| When results show | Forma's smoothness = right away · MiniFX's contour change = starts 2–4 weeks later, clearest around 1–2 months (individual results vary) |
| Sessions | 3 sessions at 4-week intervals make one set |
| How long it lasts | Fat cells that have lost volume don't easily return — but gaining 3–5 kg or more can enlarge the remaining cells and bring the volume back · Forma's collagen loosens from 3–4 months, so maintenance runs at 3–6 month intervals |
| Pain | MiniFX = a cupping-like pull as the flesh is drawn up, ending in a short, static-shock-like snap (stronger at the end of the jawline, where flesh is thin and bone is near) · Forma = like being rubbed with a warm stone |
| Pain control | No numbing cream, as a rule (for the suction's grip, and because feeling heat is a safety signal) · managed through intensity and speed · cream can be applied if it feels like too much |
| Downtime | Cupping-like red bruises at MiniFX areas for 3–5 days (up to a week on thin or easily bruised skin) · darkest for 1–3 days, then fading yellow from the edges · Forma leaves almost none · washing and makeup are fine the same day |
The red bruising is a result of the suction and can't be fully avoided — the condition that makes the treatment work and the one that leaves the marks are the same.
Expected Reactions and Possible Side Effects
Common, temporary reactions — part of the normal response:
- Cupping-like red bruises where MiniFX was applied, for 3–5 days (up to a week on thin or easily bruised skin) — darkest for 1–3 days, then fading yellow from the edges
- Almost no reaction where only Forma was applied
Anything beyond this is uncommon. If a reaction lasts longer than expected or worsens, contact us and we'll check it with you.
What We Check Beforehand
If any of these apply to you, let us know during your consultation. We postpone or adjust the timing.
- Implanted electronic devices such as a pacemaker — we do not proceed
- Braces or metal implants in the face — it depends on their position, so we check in advance
- Aspirin or blood thinners — no need to stop them; tell us, and we keep the heat as planned while lowering the suction by 1–2 steps to reduce bruising
- Recent filler or skin boosters — we proceed at least 3–4 weeks (about a month) later; the suction can shift settled filler or speed up the breakdown of injected material
- Combining with fat-dissolving injections — on the same day, InMode goes first; if you've already had the injections, we wait 1–2 weeks for the swelling to clear
- An important shoot or event — we plan the timing around the 3–5 days of red bruising
How PECHE Clinic Does It
We treat by standards built on 90,000+ documented treatments. How the suction and the energy are set for each area determines both the result and the degree of bruising. Area-by-area standards mean every PECHE physician works to the same criteria — whoever treats you.
Pinchable flesh or not — we sort that out first. The same double chin calls for InMode if the flesh pinches soft, and for a different approach if it's firm or the fat layer is thick. We confirm your contours and balance in the 3D scan and check the pinchable flesh by hand in the consultation — so that we don't recommend it to someone it won't fit.

We plan around the bruising, too. Stronger suction means more force reaching the fat layer — and more visible marks. If you have plans coming up or bruise easily, tell us in advance; we'll check in your consultation whether the suction can come down while the heat stays.
Combination order is fixed. When planned together with fat-dissolving injections, InMode comes first. Flesh swollen with injected fluid can't be drawn in properly, and the heat doesn't spread evenly.
Our prep room is behind glass. You can watch treatment preparation and hygiene management through the glass wall from the waiting area.

We only recommend what you need. We tell you first what this treatment does (the volume of pinchable fat, dermal firmness) and what it doesn't (firm flesh, deep sagging). No same-day payment pressure, no package push — you're welcome to come in just for a consultation.
Pricing
The cost of InMode depends on the areas treated (double chin, deep lower cheeks, jawline) and the session plan. We'll give you a quote after checking by hand, during your consultation, how much flesh can be pinched.

FAQ
Q1. Who performs the treatment? A: PECHE physicians who all work to the same area-by-area suction and energy standards, built from over 90,000 documented treatments. With InMode, how the suction and intensity are set for each area determines both the result and the bruising, so they're set by your assessment results and these standards — not by feel. The same standards apply across physicians and sessions.
Q2. It leaves bruises — how do people manage work? A: The red bruising sits on the under-chin and cheeks for 3–5 days, and for the first few days makeup won't fully cover it. It fades yellow from the edges, so after a few days light makeup is usually enough. If you have an important occasion, we adjust the timing — and if you bruise easily, we look at lowering the suction during your consultation.
Q3. Is one session enough? A: One session does give Forma's smoothing effect, but the contour change takes time: fat that has lost volume from the heat is cleared out by the body gradually. That clearing and the skin's recovery take about 4 weeks — and the next session needs to land at that point for the results to stack. That's why 3 sessions at 4-week intervals make one set.
Q4. Can I have my body treated too, not just my face? A: At PECHE Clinic, InMode is face-only. The body's fat layer is far thicker and needs a separate handpiece sized for that area and depth.
Q5. Can I just come in for a consultation first? A: Yes. You're welcome to come in just for the assessment and consultation, then leave. Decide after you've heard whether your flesh is the pinchable kind, whether the bruising fits your schedule, and how far this treatment can reach. We won't ask for same-day payment.
